Touch of History

In the early 1990's, techies invented the World Wide Web and, in doing so, changed everything. However, in those early days, both hardware limitations and a sheer lack of vision kept the Web in one of two states of extreme artlessness: websites were either unbearably bland or gut-wrenchingly gaudy. Thankfully, over the past fifteen years or so, things have begun to change.

 

This much-needed transformation was set in motion when graphic artists began plying their trade in this new ubiquitous medium. They brought into play the centuries-old art of the typesetter, the book designer, the sculpted beauty and simplicity of well-designed typefaces, and the magic of the divine proportion: elegant design is no accident. These things, site by site, culminated in the development of the Web's stylistic sensibilities, bringing a touch of elegance to the once sterile digital plane.

 

We at Kevin Woo Designs, in the time-honored traditions of the graphic arts, have been doing our part. Over the last several years, we have served dozens of high-profile clients both here in Beijing and abroad.
